MF GC2400
I got a letter in the mail from AGCO saying that the dealer I bought my Massey from is no longer a Massey dealer.. So now, the closest servicing dealer is 85 miles away... ONLY for that reason, I think I'm going to sell my 2400, but I've been seeing pricing all over the place, from $9k up to $14k!

Basically...
2012 GC2400
~90 hours (I have to check on the exact number)
DL100 loader
60 MMM
Stored in a climate-controlled garage, paint looks great (normal scratches in the operator area from boots)

Thanks in advance..

If I were you, I'd keep it and buy a service manual. It's a lot less costly than the "loss" you will have in selling it. If you are not one to work on a tractor then find a local repair shop, dealers aren't the only ones who can fix/repair things. Besides, with that low number of hours I'd suspect you won't have much need for dealer based repair for quite some time to come. Just my 2 cents..

Well then, disregard previous comments. :D I've used that same thought process in the past. LOL!

I looked on tractor house dot com and only one like yours was asking $14,000 at a dealer in IL, 80 hrs., one owner. Another with 300 hrs. and a loader only is asking $9,995 in IL. One had a front blade and MMM for $12,000 in Iowa w/ 1700 hrs. Others were MMM only: one was a 2009 at $11,500 670 hrs. in NY, a 2012 model asking $10,000 (51 hrs.) in Ohio, one at 253 hrs. (a 2010 model yr.) in Iowa for $9,250.

So seems like you might be in the $13,000 to $14,000 asking range and what you actually take is up to you of course. One thing that might make you have to take/ask less is the cost of the new comparable MFs, I think the 1705 is the current one. The build it yourself part of the MF site is saying $13,900 MSRP with loader only, brand new, warrantees and maybe some incentives available too. Of course the MMM adds to that, maybe up to $2,500 or so? Just a thought, as new is your competitor too.

Wish I was closer too to take a look at it, that's the size and equipment I'm looking at now. Let us know how you make out with it.

Thanks Whiz! That took some time, and I appreciate it.

Turns out, there's a local rental place 5 miles away that rents a Kubota BX25 for $200 a day, and the much bigger L45 for $300 a day.. I could rent either of them many times before I break even on the $5,000 premium I'd pay for a new tractor with a BH... I'm leaning towards keeping it since it's really such a great unit, and I'm certainly no stranger to a set of wrenches.

Just thinking about taking the BH attachment on and off every time I need to use it (since I have to mow grass basically every week) really seemed like a pain in the arse.. I wish a zero-turn could handle the slopes I have in my yard, but 4wd is mandatory.
