I know there are some theads out there debating the "glow" plug light on the 2520 dash. I have been trying to find out for sure about that light ever since I bought my first 2520 in 2008. I finally got my dealer's head mechanic to look into this question. The answer: There was a time when the 2520 had no glow plugs or intake preheat, thus the manual says nothing about this light. Then an upgrade was done to add intake preheat and the light appeared. Later another upgrade was done to change from intake preheat to glow plugs. My 2011 machine has glow plugs. He said he did find the serial number breaks where each change was made. In the case of glow plugs when starting in cool whether one is supposed to turn the key to the on position but don't crank the engine until the glow plug has been on a while or better yet until it just goes out.
I have a question about battery vent tubes. My new 2520 does not have a vent tube attached to the battery. There is a battery vent and a place to route the hose but no hose on my machine. My old 2520 had a vent tube. Do you other 2520 owners have a vent tube or not. I'm telling my dealer there needs to be one.
