Whats the correct battery for an H1502

My battery is in need of replacement, according to the date on it, its 10 yrs old so im not complaining. However I have only owned the tractor 5 years and the battery in it is smaller than the space for a battery provided. The previous owner stuck these plastic blocks in place to make the battery fit securely. But can one of you guys check your machine, or if you know what is the correct battery size that goes in it, they usually have a number on them I believe. Thanks alot for any help.

The largest (most CCA) that will physically fit in the battery compartment is always a good choice. I increased the size of my battery when the OEM one wore out, and I have never regretted it for a second.

If cost is a factor, I have had good experience with the store brand batteries where longer warranties are offered at budget prices. Will they last as long as Interstates? No, but the years of use per $ spent is higher than the pricey brands.

I have used the Lawn tractor battery from Advance auto with no complaints , other than size is smaller than the tray . It starts the tractor fine I used the terminals differently than original . I used the bolt in tightener of terminal to go through the hole in battery, just spread the terminal clamp and tighten terminal , worked just fine. A couple Rubber bungy cords to hold battery in place, works good for me . A lot cheaper than expensive batteries that aren`t actually better at starting for me ,,my opinion . Good luck

The Battery from Advance was U1R 340 CCA ,which uses terminal polarity in the right position for the Hi502. Summertime was like 35bucks .

I found it, it is a group 51 battery, Napa had it for $95. I thought my starter solenoid was goin bad for the last year, turns out it was my battery, it hits every time now and turns the starter like mad.
