What\'s the Story on the i in the Branson model #\'s

Does the i in the 2910i and 3510i etc mean anything? Does it represent a newer model or??

The reason I ask is I priced a 2910i and 3510i yesterday and the quotes I got are about $2000 more than I'm seeing people post here

2910i -> 17000 w/ FEL and filled tires.
3510i -> 18000 w/ FEL and filled tires.

The i stands for independent, for an independent PTO that is activated by a switch.
I have been pricing the larger framed tractors (20 series) and I would have to say the prices you got seem pretty darn high to me, I think I would check around. H.

mschuck you'll find that everybody is always able to find stuff cheaper than you can /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. At least that's how it is for me /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Find a real good dealer and buy it fom him cuz he's worth doin buisness with. Thats what I did without any regrets. You will need your dealer again trust me. Even if the tractor doesn't break you'll break something on it. A good dealer is better than the lowest price /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ya I agree with you on that point and feel pretty good about this dealer so I'm not totally opposed to paying a bit more.

The thing I've got to decide is a new Branson worth $3000 more than a similarly equiped slightly used NH TC30?
The extra 1000+ pounds on the machine and extra lifting power would be nice.

That's like asking if you should buy grapes at $0.99lb or go with potato chips at $1.99/bag. They are both food, but vastly different.

Call your local dealers and ask for a rock bottom best price. The TC30 is a good tractor though, so if a lighter model works for you, it isn't a bad deal. You just might kick yourself when you need that extra 50% loader capacity, or when you are spinning your tires due to lack of weight. If you are planning to keep this for a while, get the one you want.

Also look into the remaining Warranty on th TC30. For a piece of mind the Branson's going to have 3 years out of the box. I believe the NH is a 2 yr,You would need to find out when the NH warranty was first registered
