Swath can be deceiving. At first glance, my 917H looks like an 8 footer. But when you actually get underneath with a measuring tape, it's only got a 74" swath.

Yours by the way is missing the pulley shroud. You don't want to be getting grass/weeds/brush between the drive belt and the pulleys. And it appears that both the belt tensioner and the tension pulley are missing. And speaking of drive belt, the 917H requires a single banded belt (as opposed to the individual belts shown). The appropriate B-belt size depends upon which tensioner is installed (long or short) and which direction the tensioner guide is facing.

The roller shroud is missing, and - I can't tell for sure - but the way it's sitting suggests that the skid shoes aren't there either.

So I have to respectfully disagree at the suggested value. Having said that, I see a potential worth above $1000. But getting there is going to take time and money.
