What\'s up with hard to find ck20???

I have called 4 dealers within 75 miles of my house tryin to get a price on a CK20 (Thanks to KiotiJohn) I really like the sounds of this tractor. First dealer had 1, and sounded frustrated when I asked if he was going to get more in. He said my guess was as good as his. He has been trying but can't get them. He said he could sell his last one for 13,500. He also said I could find cheaper, but he wanted to keep his last one for demo. Next dealer had 5, waiting for Kioti to send back tires. Their price 14,000. Next dealer had one and said he'd sell for 12,000. No idea if he were going to get more, but he is 75 miles away. Why the tractor shortage and no answers from Kioti? The tire problem pops up once-in-a-while because they're bought from Titan who also makes tires for other MFGs. When they get behind, everyone is.
The CK20 has been selling very well, and it's a little hard to catch up right now. The other CKs have also been selling very well.
I'm sorry you're having such a hard time getting one. I don't think you have to worry a great deal about buying one from 75 miles away. That's only twice as far as my dealer, and I sure would have gone that far. I've not really needed anything that my dealer couldn't mail me, and the one knob I needed to replace, he brought to me.
I buy filters and such ahead of time, so I rarely HAVE to make a trip over there, but I like to go hang out and operate the different models now and then.
What answer did you not receive from Kioti? Did you send directly to customer_service@kiotitractor.com ?

Tractor demand is very high right now. Happens with other brands as well. Spoke with a guy that waited 4 months to get his Case tractor, finally got it last month. The CK's have been Kiotis best seller and they are bringing them in as fast as they can. Kioti is a fast growing company.

Well, I can see that one okay. If you have a demo, you can take orders. If you don't even have one that someone can try out, the customer is going somewhere else.
If you've read the forums a lot, you'll often see that people wait for weeks to months for all brands to arrive. Without a demo, you have nothing to show so that someone can order and wait for a few weeks to get theirs in. I think most buyers want to get the new unit that hasn't sat outside anyway, so many are not too concerned about some wait.
I'm one of those that hates to wait though when I've made my decision, I'd like to have my purchase, but I fight it when I can!

I got to second what Jim says. My dealer is begging the sales rep for Kubota to give him some tractors. He's got 5 cash paying customers wanting tractors right now.

The dealer told me if he had 20 tractors they would be gone in a month.

excellent tractor - excellent dealer (1st one in NE - been selling this brand since ~1990).
