What\'s your idle speed on 4110

For anyone with a JD 4110, what is your slow idle speed? Do you know what it's supposed to be?

factory owners manual for my 2004 4115 says:

slow idle-
4110- 1000 +-25 RPM
4115- 950 +-25 RPM

fast idle-
2850 +-25 RPM for both

My 4110 runs at just under 1,000 RPMs at the bottom of the range, just as roccon and the manual says. After starting, when it smooths out and the clatter dies, I bump it up to 1,200-1,400 to complete the warm-up. Fast idle is the rated engine speed that delivers a 540 PTO RPM. My eyes aren't that good any more, so all I can tell you is its just under 3,000 RPMs, again confirming roccon's quote.

OK, my idle is set too fast. Now I just have to figure out how to cut it down by 150 or so.

there should be a small screw or bolt with a jambnut on the injection pump. when you pull the throttle lever all the way back, this screw stops the idle arm. loosen the jamb nut and turn IN the screw until your idle is to spec. tighten the jamb nut.
