The wheat (soft red winter) harvest and the planting of double-cropped soybeans are well underway in my part of NC.
My "windshield survey" indicated that about 1/2 of the wheat acreage is being combined with stripper headers. However, I have my doubts as to whether my sample is representative. The largest farming operation in my county rents a substantial amount of land in my vicinity and the owners use stripper headers.
How extensive is the use of stripper headers in your area?
