That's one of my best pictures from this crops season...:)

The grain of wheat is the emblem of the human soul. It represents a great story in Nature's development. If you were able to open the leaves of the grain of wheat, to follow its history , you would understand completely the history of the human soul. As the grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, as it germinates, grows and bears seed, so the same happens with the human soul. It could be, that for you the grain of wheat looks like something very modest, something without much value - 1/16 thousandth part of the kilogram: what price would you give it if a kilogram costs a penny? However, the grain of wheat has power, potential and a spirit of selflessness, by means of which it feeds itself and others. And when you sit at the table, you do not think about the grain of wheat at all, you do not know what joy it brings into you, what thoughts it brings. You do not know its origins. People do not appreciate it, neither do the hens - no one appreciates it. But it is a great enigma in the world.

It is a nice photo, for sure. What are you shooting with? If you have the opportunity to shoot again, it would be nice to have the foreground wheat stalks in more detail, particularly the one to the left of center is in quite a bit of shadow. I like the path, leading to the background. There is some color fringing at the horizon, not sure if it's in capture or PP? Good use of DOF and low perspective. Keep posting, great shots!

Is the separation in the rows of wheat a tramline? Being from a mountainous area, we don't use them, but I know the cultural method has been around for quite a while.

No, I made this picture in an experimental agricultural station. Just different sorts of wheat , separated by rows... :)

A great photo and great commentary. Seems to me the person that wrote that knows what he is talking about and has known what it is like to have done without. Seems like those words were generations in the works.
