Wheel Barrel For Sale

I just wanted to say thanks to all the people that have posted. I done a lot of reading before I took delivery last week of my BX2200. One problem I believe I'm going to have because of the FEL is my wheel barrel will not be getting used anymore! It's been to wet to get very munch work done can't wait for it to dry up around here.

Far as the wheel barrow there are still uses for them...bird bath,present for the better half,just tip the handles to the ground than set in it..makes a good chair,portable work bench etc.../w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Drill some holes in the bottom for drainage, paint it a nice color (preferably the wifes favorite ) fill it with loam and potting soil, plant some Purtty flowers in it and present it to the wife, along with a nice card that has some of that real mushy, sappy stuff, that they like so much in it, as a thank You for granting you permission to buy the Bota !!!
Now, granted, this might be considered by some, as Sucking Up. But Hey !! it can't hurt. You never know when your going to find another implement that you JUST HAVE TO HAVE !!!

I agree that your BX2200 is going to be the best dang wheelbarrow you've ever owned, but I've been surprised how much I still use my little single wheel hand-push one. It still gets into places where my tractor can't go and has more of a "focused" dump for those precision jobs. Also, I still can't bring myself to mix concrete in my 'Bota bucket, so I use the tractor to haul my wheelbarrow, along with the sand, gravel and cement to the work site sometimes. Turns out that when I invert my wheelbarrow it fits perfectly over the 3-pt bracket of my box blade, making for easy transport.

Oh, and I almost forgot the most important thing about the little 'barrow -- it gives my wife something to use while I'm out tractorin'.

I'd just put in a layer of plastic, fill it with ice and keep my favorite beverage nice and cold and handy!/w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Heck, I've considered doing that with my FEL bucket. Especially with my serious lack of tractor time lately, might as well put it to some sort of use /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

What a timely coincidence of this thread.....

The other evening a cold front moved into the area with promises of rain. The wife said why don't we build a fire in the basement wood burner. However, a few weeks ago I burned the last of the wood we store outside the basement door and thought we were done for the winter season. She said use the wheel barrel and we will bring some up from the wood pile down by the woods.

I said I could use the new BX loader. She says that sounds like a lot of trouble just for a load of wood. Then she says "I'll take the wheel barrel and you take the loader and I'll bet I can have a load back at the house before you can". I agree if she will let me warm up the Bota before the race starts.

So, it's warmed up and I am ready. GO! Off she goes from the lower level and off I go from the garage (bota still has a place of honor in the garage). When I get down the hills and to the wood pile she is already half loaded. Not a problem, use the front loader under the handles and tip over the wheel barrel. Then move around the other side of the wood pile and start to load. Then "me thinks", this is stupid, don't load the FEL, scoop up the wood with the FEL.

She gets loaded and is off. I get excited, she is beating me, and I just scoop up a load or I thought I did and take off up the steep part of the hill and beat her to the house and proceed to dump my large load of leaves, bark, a brick, few sticks and a couple actual pieces of usable wood to burn.

Lesson learned? Don't bet a woman with a wheel barrel who is on a mission.
