This may come as simple observation, kind of - duuuh - but do you know, which way the cylinder rotates in your revolver?
My wife's bedside snub (from EAA) turns clockwise, but my beloved GP100 runs anticlockwise. In my former life I had Navy .44 black powder and I am pretty sure the cylinder turned to the right.
Of course, there is no technical reason for left to be better than right and vice versa - I believe - but I would expect them all turn right.
Just thought I would share my deep thoughts of this morning
