I am in the market for a new small wheel loader (1 yard). Does anyone have experience with these machines? Looking at Volvo, Gehl, Jcb, trying to stay around 10,000 pound operating weight for hauling with my trailer. Any thoughts on durability, maintenance, resale value, etc?

Thanks
Paul

Coopers I like the deere butt it is too tall and too heavy.Looking for something a little smaller.
Thanks

what kind of work are you looking to do with the loader?

might look at larger SS like gehl 7810 (which will out load a Backhoe) or a telehandler like a jcb 520 or BB 417.

trying to find something that is 1 yard and still 10k lbs is not going to be easy.

cooper you are definately right, and the bota's are sweet machines. However they are $$$$$ for the money I would go with the used Gehl 7810 which can do allot more things then a mini loader.

Not saying a mini loader is bad, we use a cat 904 on site in the winter and its a sweet machine.

Takeuchi has a 9K loader with a 1 yard bucket, also 2 in the 10K range and one at 12.7K...I have seen a TW65 and was impressed.

Takeuchi - TW50

Correction, Tak is the US dealer for Atlas, hence the rebadged units.

That was my understanding of the Takeuchi also. I looked at the TW65, not a bad machine but its still kind of tall, the cab is not as easy as others to get in and out of also not as good a value as others also. I'm not interested at all in a skidsteer, even looked at the Bobcat A300, Just don't like the limited view. I have narrowed my search to the brands I mentioned in my first post. Mostly looking for comments on those brands in general and there wheel loaders in particular. Leaning to the Volvo seams to be the best value and has the amenities I want. Thanks for the responses.
