Hey All,
I am pretty good at doing a very close "Preventative Maintenance " inspection of the old Kioti every time I fire it up. A few weeks ago I drove it to my nieghbors about 1 mile and leveled out a spot for his new barn which took about two hours and parked it back at the house when I was done . The next day another nieghbor stopped by to talk with me about also purchasing a Kioti and check over my DK45 . Imagine my surprise when he mentioned I had two lug bolts missing on a front wheel .I immediately check the rest and I am lucky the wheel did not come off as they were all loose on that one wheel only . I have 75 hours on this machine and all the bolts have always been tight when checked . I not sure why this wheel decided to loosen up after 75 hours but it might be something to always check before running your machine ,

Al,
I had that happen on a one of my pickup trucks years ago.
Had a strange vibration and wasn't sure what it was. Though I might have a rear end going out.
Knew what the vibration was when the left rear wheel came off, went down over the bank, layed square in the middle of a creek (had to wade through it to get my wheel back too !! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif).

Amen Big Al: I had 5 hours on my CK30HST and had the rare presence of mind to check mine likely cause loader bolts were loose. The rear nuts are supposed to be at 275 lb feet.
Two were no more than 20-30#, others WAY off!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
I believe in my experience theres no way they were ever torqued properly before delivery---you cant just loosen from 295# if they were ever at 295 on steel rims. Most 1/2 drive torque wrenches dont even go that high.
I think the dealer just ratteled them down with an air gun.
I'd hazard to guess you would be hard pressed to find 50% of the shops have the proper tool, since a good one of that rating can be 300 plus dollars.

Its a bad day when you see one of your tires pass you on the freeway!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Don't sweat it................I use a 30 year old JD 1010 when the same thing happened. ...................and it is two wheel drive (front wheel)

That's why I generally check all my bolts just about every 15-20 hours. I work it hard, and things loosen regularly. If only I maintained my car as well!
