I hope nobody has tried to use the dimensions that I provided for the spacers. I put mine on today just incase we have some weather that requires I install chains on tires.

The tapped holes should be 5/8-18. Not 3/4-16. I hope this did not cause anybody a problem. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

This also means that 6; 5/8-18 X 2" bolts; lock washers and flat washers will be needed for each spacer.
All other dimensions are correct.

Spacers went on with no problems. Except for my embarrassment of finding out that the bolt thread size was wrong on my dimensions.

My spacers have the studs on them that make it easier to put wheel on. These can be purchased from your Kubota dealer.

Attached is a picture of the spacer on axle.

Here is a picture with chains on tire. They make the ride a little bumpy, but they'll do the job when I get some weather that requires them.

I installed a set of ladder chains on my 2910 last weekend. They were cut down from my TC29 which allows them to ride down further on the industrial tires I have. I mounted them so that each cross-link is positioned between lugs. This holds them in place and adds clearance. I then tightened with rubber straps. I have about an an inch or so clearance at the closest point, which is the bottom fender bolt. I believe as long as they are kept tight, I will be OK. Still would like a set of those spacers though, has anyone heard whether or not these would affect the stress on the axle?

Thanks for the photo series. I am going to take the drawings to a local machine shop and get a price.

Don't forget to change the threaded hole size from 3/4-16 to 5/8-18.

This is probably my last update on this subject /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif.

I didn't remember to borrow the camera but I did have a good reason to mount the chains. We got about 8 more inches of snow on Sat. Luckily, I had put the chains on before the snow hit. I'm happy to report that the spacers do provide the extra clearance needed to use my heavy chains /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif.

And on the "skid shoes- yes or no on a rear blade?" question, I can now say that I'm glad I went for that option. It worked really well in our situation. I left most of the dirt and gravel on the driveway... where it belongs /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif.
