Ive read that the wheel spacer kit on a B3000 with the 72" mower is a no go because of interference. Is this true? Also, will the 60" deck work with wheel spacers?

Im assuming the wheel spacer kit is for the back only, but is there one for the front. Is that even a good idea. Ive seen aftermarket companies sell both front and rear.

Thanks for any help. My dealer(s) dont even know.

It is true with the B7800/B3030 that the wheel spacers are not compatible with the mid-mower. I could see the same thing happen with the B3000 but I don't have facts.

Not sure about the mower deck clearance, but if your running chains the spacers are a must. Without the spacers the chains will not fit between the tire and the inner fender.

You are correct. Rear wheel spacers are incompatible with both decks. Im wondering if this machine is over kill for mowing. But I do want more loader capacity and the cab would be great. Only aftermarket companies make front wheel spacers and my mechanic said he wouldnt recommend it because it would put extra stress on the bearings....

If you were to get a B3000 cab, would you get the 60" mower or 72"? Im afraid the 72" might be too wide to give a good cut (not the smoothest lawn). I mow about 5.5 acres if not more.

thanks for the replies.

Maybe it's tire dependent because I have a b3030 with a cab. I put spacers on the rear for clearance for chains and the backhoe subframe and I don't have interference problems with the 60 inch deck. It's quite close on one side between the tire and one of the deck rollers when the deck is lifted to the top position but it doesn't hit.

interesting.....I was told both decks wont work.

I'm too lazy to search, but this has certainly been discussed here in the past. I don't think DelSc is the only one to add rear spacers without a problem, even though Kubota claims there is an interference problem with the MMM. If it were me doing that much mowing, I'd certainly go with the 72" deck. Actually, I'd go with the 72 no matter what, since with rear wheel spacers, your rear width will be 60" anyway. I'd nix the front spacer idea, since the front acts similar to a tricycle front end anyway, with the pivot in the center. I just don't see alot of stability added with front wheel spacers. FWIW, I felt a very noticable seat-of-the-pants improvement in stability when I added the rear spacers. Well worth the money. I feel it's safe to say what 'goes' with a B3030, goes with a B3000.

Thanks Ductape. Are your rear tires filled? My guy said to definetely fill the back tires. That could add ALOT of weight. And since it will be down low, it will work much better than the ballast box. My only concern was with all that weight, would I be marking up my lawn? Currently I mow with nothing on my BX, no loader, nothing on the 3 pt and no loaded tires.

I agree with the front wheel spacers. They wont offer really any added benefit because of that pivot. If it I get it, I will play around with the wheel spacers. Does anyone use front suitcase weights? I think you can add three before you have to buy a dedicated box. I wonder if its even worth it.
