Tires Wheel Spacers used with MMM

Hello everyone, now that winter is over, I'm getting ready for spring cutting. I have approximately 4-5 acres to cut. Two acres are on sloped ground and cut with a 60" rotary cutter and 2 acres are cut with a 60" MMM mounted on my Kubota B3030. I have searched previous threads on the subject of using wheel spacers and some say you cannot use them with a MMM. I guess it depends on the size of the spacer i.e. 1 1/2" vs 3" etc. Here are my questions:

Does anyone have spacers mounted on the B3030 and using a MMM?
What size spacers are they?
Do you have spacers mounted on both the front and the rear?
Is there a danger using front spacers if you have a FEL?
Who is the best company that makes spacers for the B3030?

Any info would be appreciated.

I cant speak for the bolt pattern of the Kubota's but I found a set of 2" spacers for a Ford Ranger and they bolted right up and fit flush against my axle on Massey Ferguson GC2600. Cost was only $100 at the local parts store. I haven't tried them with the mower yet but will say they make a lot of difference.

I used to have a B3030 (still in my profile pic) and had wheel spacers installed on the rear so the turf tires would clear the mounting bolts on the Woods backhoe I used. I cant remember the length of the spacers, but they were a standard Kubota item. The wheels cleared the MMM without any problems when mowing. When the deck was lifted to its maximum height, there was a anti scalp wheel on the deck that just barely touched the rear tire. When you inserted the pins to hold the deck up and released the pressure on the 3pt hitch, the mmm dropped enough that the wheel no longer contacted. If I was driving around with the mower up and the pins out, I just set the position control a touch below full up there was enough clearance, and if I had the mower pinned up so I could use the 3pt hitch there was enough clearance, so I really never had a problem with it.

Thanks for the input DelSc. I don't use my MMM with any other implements so I'm assuming if I put a set of 1 1/2" - 2" wide spacers on the rear I should be able to use the mower without the anti-scalp wheels rubbing the tire. I don't plan on putting any on the front. I found 2 companies that make spacers for the Kubota B3030, "The Tracks Co." and Bro-Tek. Each seems to have a good rep. I'm glad to hear that they make a difference because bush hogging my hill (10 - 15%) slope is a little tricky.

You should be fine even if you leave the MMM mounted when you use the rotary mower. I was able to use a bush hog with the MMM mounted and in the "up" position without any problems. The pins hold the mower in the up position so you can use the 3pt hitch, but the MMM drops a little when you lower the 3pt arms (about an inch or two) so the scalp wheel easily clear the tire.

I'm sure I could use both the MMM & Rotary cutter at the same time but I don't really plan on doing that because I also have the FEL attached when I use the Rotary cutter. I use my MMM without any other attachments because of extra weight on the grass. That being said, it appears i could use 1 1/2" spacers OK or maybe even 2". I'm going to get a measurement when I have the MMM attached and raised up to see what distance i have from the rear tires to the anti-scalp wheel. That measurement should tell me if 2" spacers will work.
