04 Kubota L3400 4wd
Hi everybody. This is my first post, but I've been reading for about a year. I posted a review a while back too.

Anyway, I have a L3400 (4wd), FEL, box, hog. I've got 48 acres that go from one valley, over the top of the mountain, and to the next valley, with my house sitting on top. I've got lots of flat area, but a lot of slopes too, and I'm about to start developing a subdivision on 11 acres of the land (so I'll be doing some clearing).

I'm planning on buying a Komatsu D31 after the first of the year, but in the meantime, I'd like to space my wheels out a bit more, and thought you guys might could point me in the best direction for doing that.

Any help will be appreciated. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for the links.

I probably should've named this post wheel spacing, or something besides wheel spacers.

I'm interested in the best way to get the wheels wider, be it spacers, axle extensions, or whatever.

I'm not very familiar with a L3400. Doesn't it have adjustable axles that allow movement of the wheels. Some tractors have wheels that can to reversed to move tread out. Your owners manual should show how it is done.
You may want to start a thread asking How to change L3400 rear tread width.

On the L-series models, the center dish can be moved to different positions on the wheel rim to change the tire width. On the B-series tractors, the wheel width is changed by moving the wheel/tire in or out on the axle. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'd already planned on moving the dish, but near as I can figure, it'll only gain me about 1-2" max per side. I'd like around 6" per side at least, if that was do-able.

ronjhall, thanks for the tip; I started a new thread.
