Time to visit the knowledge pool once again.

I have a 2001 TC35D with turf tires. The local New Holland Dealer says I can get weights for the wheels....2 per side at 105 lbs each for a total of 420 lbs. Sounds great but....my owners manual (dated 1999) at the back where it gives all the specs for the Tractor just has a dashed line through that option listing. According to my manual, only the wheels for R-4 & Ag tires have the option of rear weights. Does anybody out there know for sure ??

You should take a look at EZ-Weights. Do a google search to find their website. I added them to the front wheels of my NH and they work great. They are designed to use standard bar-bell weights, but I used some bar stock with hole drilled in the center. I think they took me about 15 minutes to install and work great.

I put them on my front wheels, but I suspect that 98% of the users install them on their rear wheels.

The wheels NH uses for their turf tires do not accept the EZ Weight system. No mounting holes. I looked into these last year for my TC-30. Thought about drilling the wheels and then decided against it.

I suppose it would be possible to replace 4 of the lug bolts with a heat treated threaded rod, run a nut down the rod to hold the wheel to the axle, and then fabricate a mounting bracket system similar to theirs. The hole centers for the lug bolts are 8 inches, the smallest EZ Weight is 8.5 inches.

EZ Weights will custom make brackets, as will TBN member 5030.

Bob,

Take a look at my wheel. It looks like it has mounting holes. The holes are not simply drilled in either. They are embossed out. (Not sure if that's the correct term) Unfortunately the picture quality leaves much to be desired. What else would these mounting holes be for if not for wheel weights ? I don't think I can use the EZ weight system as the tire valve would be in the way.

See attached. Brackets made by TBNer 5030 for the rear wheels (R4s) on my TC25D.
