So I am looking for some rear wheel weights for my U5030C. But I'm not going to pay what LS wants for a set. So does anyone with a 5020 or 5030 have any experience with what other manufacturers wheel weights may fit on this thing? Hopefully I can find some at a good price used, if we could just figure out exactly what to look for.

Generally, what I find is that weights are weights are weights. Everyone wants the same price new or used, wheel weights or suitcase weights, any brand. Usually $1-$1.50 per pound. Sometimes you get lucky and may find a deal, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Holy free-holies. That price for wheel weights makes Rim guard look good.

Yep, the dealership and even lsparts wants almost $3.00 a lb for the wheel weights. Ive got to find a set of used ones that will fit. Tires, front and back are already loaded with rim guard. There have to be some weights out there that fit the same bolt pattern., just need to find out what I need to look for.

I looked up what the cost would be to replace 1 suitcase weight (105 lbs), hanging off the front of my Kubota, and the dealer wants $406.09 and I have 12 of them, that's $4873.08 for 1260 lbs of cast iron suitcase weights and that's not counting tax or shipping. I think the price for the 12 weights listed out for about $1000 as an option on a new tractor. Wow!

New wheel weights from LS are $855 for 300 pounds.

It's not hard to get old scrap lead, melt it down and make "weights"... I welded up these moulds in a few minutes and I pour my own 20 pound bars of lead,

A box on the front or back of a tractor is easy to make, that will hold as many as you want to put in it...

There's NO WAY I'd pay that big money for weights!!
