Wheels dont turn

I have a 283 massey. Was shredding all going great. Stopped put tractor in neutral. Left pto running. Got on tractor to go again and it wont move. Good pressure on foot. Feels as if it went into gear. Any ideas

"Good pressure on foot?" Meaning the clutch? First thought is a clutch issue.

Sounds as if the gears are turning inside transmission. Pro does work

I had a 283 years ago. I'm assuming it's the same tractor. You didn't happen to knock the range lever in neutral? That geared tractor should go. Have you tried all the gears in both ranges?

If it's not that then the clutch apparently went out.

Does the PTO go through the clutch? So if clutch is depressed it stops?
