Does anyone have a picture of their tractor (preferably the 4xxx size tractor) with the wheels set wide that they could post? I have R1's and it looks like the back tires would be really wide and the front ones would only change a couple of inches? I have a 4500. Thanks in advance for posting them.

Hi:

I have a 3720 and posted pics under wheel extensions. I have 6" wheel extensions on R3's in the Narrow (But wide with the extensions) position.

What do you call wide ? all our tractors of 50-150 hp are on 72 inch centers to fit crop tram-lines or potato rows .
The only reason for putting fronts narrower than rears is when tire widths are not the same or 2wd and you line up the inside walls for ploughing to keep tractor straight and keep a straight furrow .

Wide is when you flip the wheels over so the wheels are dished out instead of in. Looks like it would make about 6 inches difference on each side on the back. I think that would help with stability on hills. The fronts maybe would change 2-3 inches.

OK, here's one from the rear, at the widest setting.

Wow I didn't realize they went out that wide! Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures. I bet that really helps out with stability. Looks like the fronts don't go out very wide though, which for some reason seems like that is where some stability issues come from.

Randy.. does 'green' not put that kind of usefull data in their owners manuals? I know ALL my 'blue' manuals have axle spacing data in them...(wink)

Yes they do have outside minimum and maximum width dimensions and inside width dimensions. Assuming the difference between the minimum and maximum are the wheels flipped. What they don't have is pictures and actual wheel spacing for front axle and rear axle. It just looked to me like the front was going to be so much narrower than the back.
