When are blue parts really yellow?

Cat logistic have been running our parts depots for years. The parts still come from New Holland and New Holland suppliers. Cat just runs the parts depots. This is actually a big business for Cat they run more than just New Hollands parts depots.

Indeed, We have logistics contracts with several customers.
That's one thing that we do right here at CAT and that
is worldwide distribution of parts. Ours and the customers
parts. What I think is interesting is how interlocked
the entire industry is at all levels from manufacturing
to parts distribution. Another interesting fact is
that when you see a new Hummer going down the road,
it has CAT Electronics control modules inside it.

Does it matter what colour of blood to revitalize the machine?

everyone is intertwined someway. We have the axles for the 416 cat backhoes in our computer parts system because Ford made the axles for these machines. I can also confirm that the parts thru New Holland for these axles are about 30% less than the Cat price. Another example is that Kubota made the forward reverse part of the transmission in the Ford D series backhoe.

It doesn't matter what "color" nor whether you use the northern or southern spelling. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Do you have a defense/defence for that? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It looks like the "pricing analysts" need to have their eyes
opened on the axle price. The NH analyst is missing out on
some profit, and the CAT analyst is in danger of losing future sales. As time goes on, these kind of discrepancies usually
even out.

I just bought a wheel for my JD 4310 from
Valu-Bilt in Des Moines for $43 The same wheel
from Deere is $73. Both have Titan stamped on the
wheel. I am sure that there are lots of price discrepancies
all over the industry no matter who makes it or who sells it.

Egon,
No it doesn't really matter what colour/color of blood to
revitalize a machine. I was just trying to make a point
about how intertwined the entire industry is.
