When can I get a 4010?

I was hoping someone would have some info about when the 4010 would be available. Have any dealers been giving estimated arrival dates?

I was all set to buy a NH TC18 before I drove the Deere 4110 today. From looking at the literature though, the 1.5 hp and slightly increased hydraulics dont seem to justify the $2000 difference between the 4010 and the 4110. Im definately more interested in the 4010.

The price I got from this dealer was a little higher than the one last weekend, but at least he had something in stock to drive around. 4010 with industrials, and the valve for the loader, and 60" MMM were quoted at $12600. This dealer however was willing to pass along the entire $900 rebate, making the price $11700.

Hopefully these prices are negotiable, because 10-12% off retail does not strike me as a particularly good price.

You're right...this isn't very good. I just purchased a JD 4710 at 16% off MSRP. Others here at TBN seem to do better at around 20% or more off MSRP. Much may depend on the part of the country you're living in, the number of dealers available and their competition, how good you are at negotiating a bottom line price, and time of year you're buying. All four are important and dovetail with each other to various degrees. Try to visit as many dealers as possible and do competitive shopping....you likely can do better than 10-12% off MSRP.

Only info I have on the 4010 is from my couple of local dealers. Both said it could be end of June or July before they see them.

I didn't feel like waiting, so I tried to negotiate on the 4110. One dealer gave NO discount but did give full rebate, the other 5% plus rebate. I am in New England & I would be satisfied to get 10% off plus the rebate. I was ready with checkbook in hand, all he had to do was come down $700! Very frustrating.

I am going to be visiting the NH dealer again this week (they were my second choice.

Hi Jon...

When you get near or at the leader or "entry" level compact tractors... there are not as many "profit dollars" available as say against the top of the line models...

On entry levels you look more at dollars off... than on the top of the line units where you use the points off... (which translates to greater dollars off)
