My max psi is supposed to be 2950, at idle it's 2800, at full rpm it's 3050. Should I back it off?
Sounds perfect. Youll find it to be a little lower when hot.My max psi is supposed to be 2950, at idle it's 2800, at full rpm it's 3050. Should I back it off?
It wouldn't do any good to back it off. If the relief opens at 2800psi and you run up to full rpm the flow is more then the reief can handle, so it well build more psi.
Then why did the even use a relief valve? On a factory built machine it won't happen. It wouldn't do any good to back it off. If the relief opens at 2800psi and you run up to full rpm the flow is more then the reief can handle, so it well build more psi.
Because he adjusted the relief valve higher.4570Man & RickB that should be true and I would say in most cases it is , but why is he getting more psi when he ups the rpm and getting more flow? Something is holding the oil back.
