when to check valve lash gc 1705

hello guys
just did my 50 hr service and was wondering when the valves should be checked for proper lash?
ive always checked the lash after break in on my machines and have found a few out of spec.
any info?
i tried looking it up online but got no info,, op manual says lash is 0.10 int and ex cold

decided to check the valves and good thing i did.
i found both coolant jacket plugs between the valves slightly weeping antifreeze
had to drain the antifreeze remove the plugs with a 10 mm Allen bit clean up the threads
and put Teflon on the threads.
also found 2 valves at 0.16 so adjusted them as well

you would think they would use a sealer on the threads of the coolant jacket plugs
mine had none

Interesting. I'll have to check my books, but I wasn't aware these had manually-adjusted lifters and required checking. And my 2310 now has over 700 hrs....

I THINK the 1705s and 2310s used the same 1100-cc Iseki engine....?

if i remember correctly they are real close to being the same engine
i do know the 2300 series block heater works in the 1700 series and its 60 bucks cheaper for the 2300 series
i was more concerned of the antifreeze getting into the oil and pitting the rod/main bearings
so it was a good thing i checked the valves at 50 hrs and noticed the leaks
