When you live in Gator country you probably aren't worried about freezing weather 5-6 months a year like those of us up north. That cold weather concrete specification would be edited out for work down there.

We have FDOT specs about could weather concrete. I believe the Florida Building Code does as well, but roads are built for 20 year life, bridges 50 year life, and single family homes are a 10 year design, so not nearly as strick. We (Putnam, Alachua, Marion, Bradford counties) do rarely get days that never peak above 35-40 degrees and ive seen as low as 14 degrees at 5:00 am.
