When was the change form Ford to NH?

does anyone know the about or very near month and year that Ford changed to NH? Someone is selling a small Ford compact and saying it is a 1990. I thought the change over was many years before. In other words, is it possible to have a 1990 CUT?

I certainly seem to remember seeing Ford and Ford-New Holland into the mid-90s. I think 1990 Ford compacts are pretty common.

They did use the Ford name in big letters for quite a few years after the buy out and slowly had to remove the Ford name. The Ford name kept getting smaller before it disappeared all together.

On a similar note, the TN series was released in 1999 and I did not think any TN tractor had the Ford name on it until I saw one Monday. It is a TN75F with Ford in small letters at the front of the black decal.

thanks guys,
the bottom line is they went to look at the machine,,, I wasn't there, but they tell me a machine a few inches longer and wider than a BX,,, MAybe a 1510?,.. Anyway, they said run hard and hung up to dry, everything loose, and they walked away from it.... I took the original phone call while they were at work, and it didn't seem right to me from the get go.... They are still looking...

My cousin in Poland has a 1998 Ford Compact tractor.

My cousin in Poland has a 1998 Ford Compact tractor. 

The changeover on European models didn't occur at exactly the same time as the U.S. models.

Are you talking Poland in Europe or Poland, Ohio???

According to "Ford Farm Tractors" by Randy Lettingwell, the division began way back in the '60's at the corporate level. After a lot of board room maneuvering over the years involving Versatile, Steiger, Sperry New Holland out of Pa., and others, Fiat bought 80% of Ford New Holland in 1991, upped it to 88% in '92 and full oqnership in '93. The agreement stipulated that the Ford name had to be completely off all new production by January 1, 2000.
