Of course! We're multifaceted males, don't you know...

BINGO....you hit THAT one right on the head...perhaps Pirate might want to skip over a few of the hundreds of other threads I have started here that DON'T address such an issue about who cooks.

Cooking is part of rural living, correct? When we have a big cookout it is always BBQ. I will cook the ribs, chickens, ABT's, etc. I clean up the grills. She does most of the rest, including clean up inside. She usually has some help from the guests though. BBQ is exclusively my domain; whether one slab of ribs or 15. Otherwise from day to day, she cooks, I clean. I cook, I clean; no one cooks, I clean. Holidays, she cooks mostly, I sidekick, everyone cleans.

This is an easy one - neither of us!

After being married 21 years we have never had or been to a dinner party. We just don't have that "socializing" need that most others do I guess.

My domain is the BBQ as well. :drink:

You Sir, are leading me into temptation. Besides being a life long Boston Terrier lover, BBQ, Weber, BGE, etc., and recipes I can ramble on for hours. :licking:

It's obviously an individual decision. I never knew of my Dad doing ANY cooking; that was Mother's domain. But maybe just because I was interested in it, I started learning to cook from my Mother and Grandmother when I was just a kid. And now . . . I've heard my wife tell people that I taught her to cook, and she's a pretty good cook, too, but I still do more cooking than she does.

Of course, in the days when I was employed and working, she did nearly all the cooking, except when we had company, in which case I helped her.

However . . . we had 7 visitors Thursday so 9 of us to eat. We had fried chicken, hot rolls, mashed potatoes & gravy, French fried potatoes, cole slaw, and fried okra. And I went and picked it up at Chicken Express. Sure was a lot easier. And we had enough left overs for the 2 of us yesterday.

I have been trying to teach my SO how to use the gas grill...she was very wary of it but I explained to her that it's basically a little gas stove that you light yourself...no pilot.... so far so good.

I think my wife would first, be insulted and soon after that, pi**ed off if I went into HER kitchen and started cooking.
