Where are the best places in the southeast US to look for a 2 ton+ chinese mini-ex?

In your personal opinion, how does the AGT NT18 compare to the Typhon Terror XIX and XVIII? There is one sitting at a local seller who is asking $11,800 delivered. 2024 Latest AGT 1.4 ton Mini & Small Excavator, Side Swing Diesel For - agrotkindustrial

- Not that great of a deal - when you can get a better machine, bigger engine, Thumb, better fit and finish - its the little things like sound insulation in the XIX, larger tracks, bigger engine, heavier, for $2K less.
The NT18
- No Thumb or thumb bracket on stick
- 3000 Lbs (best case -probably closer to 2800Lbs) vs 3400 for the XVIII, and 3200 Lbs for the XIX
- Ok Fit and Finish - Similar to the Hightop (XVIII)
- Kubota 722 in NT18 and XVIII vs Kubota 902 in XIX machine
- the XIX has 230MM (9" tracks) vs the 7" on XVIII and NT18 (I changed my tracks to 230MM turf tracks)

You can get the XIX and the XVII for under 10K delivered, and then Kamran Motors on Ebay has a similar Hightop with Kubota 902 engine for $9750 (they are out of Chicago).

Thanks for your assessment. I submitted farm sales tax exemption to eBay. They wouldn’t apply it to my eBay account and told me to submit a sales tax refund request for ag purchases. Has anyone else run into this while buying one of these machines on eBay?

Appears they Typhon and others have raised the landed prices looking on ebay today - tho Kamran still has theirs listed at $9750.

Can't answer the tax question as we are in Tax Free NH, but IMO it should apply to the machine less the shipping, brokerage, and duty or $6K range, otherwise I guess you need to apply for a rebate on taxes for farm use,

No other retailer in my state that I have dealt with handles tax exemptions via a refund post sale. They ask for proof of the exemption and then no tax is charged on the sale. If the sales tax is due, it is due on the entire transaction amount including shipping, etc.

Tennessee, but mainly I wanted to see if anyone else had experience with eBay concerning sales tax exempt status.

One hesitation I have about buying any of these machines is not knowing what parts support there is today or will be in the future.

TN tax is 7% and I have no idea about internet sales and collection there

But - regardless, its now CNY, (Chinese Lunar New Year) until Feb 10th and they likely have met sales goals and will want to start filling containers again later in February,

I would not expect any "deals" under $10K on these for the next 30 days
