Greetings Learned Forum:

All last fall and winter, I was keeping up with Craigslist, hoping to find a used 3 pt. snowblower. I had terrible luck. There were hardly any for sale, and the ones that were had prices very close to new.

I just got off the phone with my tractor dealer. He has a slightly used Woods SS74 for sale. From being on this forum, I know that Woods is a good name. But I can't find anything about their snowblowers. When I did search of "Woods SS74" in Attachments, I got one hit.

What's the deal? Why is there so little information on the Woods SS74? If anyone can enlighten me, I would be very appreciative. Thank you.

Maybe wait until the middle of the Summer, you may get a better deal.:D

People keep them, is what I would assume. :)
Thus the reason they are scarce and if one is found, it has a near new price tag.

Supply and demand at work. ;)

Time to pick up a new one and enjoy the sound of blowing snow (or keep watch through the summer for an estate sale, or similar).

Good luck.

I used to have a SS52 snowblower. Very dependable.

I have the SS74 and love it. Wouldn't sell it for anything.

Thank you for your replies. Am I right in guessing that they are better than average quality? How would they compare to Meteor? How about Blizzard? Again, thank you all.
