Where can I advertise a heavy duty utility trailer?

Can you recommend a website or two where I can advertise my husbands heavy duty utility trailer? It has hauled a bulldozer, and also his large Deere tractor and 15 ft batwing(not at the same time), as it has 3 7,000 lb axles. I have posted it in Knoxville craigslist but wonder if just calling it a utility trailer in the heading is not doing it justice. Thank you for any insight.

I looked at ironsearch, they have a fee for listing, so for now I will try craigslist.

Do not sell yourself short by trying to save a few dollars advertising. The trailer is a asset and should not be just given away.

I believe the trailer is priced fairly. I would be willing to pay for advertising if I knew it would sell but if I start paying for advertising on 3-4 sites, and having only one item to sell I have no history on which site(s) would be worth it, I could be wasting the money. I am rather out of my element here trying to sell this trailer but am giving it a try.

Attached are a few photos and following is the information on the trailer. "28 foot long, plus neck, Hurst equipment utility trailer, in excellent condition. Always been kept under cover. Three 7000 lb axles, each axle has brakes. Electric hydraulic brakes with new Dexter pump. This trailer carried a big Deere tractor and 15 ft. bushhog. Has also carried a bulldozer. The neck area is raised so it is easier to walk under. $5,500 ne Tenn. 423 272-9321".

1st off that's not a utility trailer, it's a GN trailer. Goose Neck. It's very well built and probably has a GVWR of 21,000# or 24,000# depending on its axles. GVWR = gross vehicle rating. It probably weighs in the 5,500# range empty leaving a payload of 15,500# to 18,500#


The braking system is top notch. It's what is called a Electric over Hydraulic system. If it has drum brakes that's good but if it has disc brakes that's even better.

You need to advertise it properly and price it fair and it will sell. My rule of thumb is 60% the price of a new one from what I see as the condition shows in the pics you provided.
