How small of a mesh do you need? 4x4 and up mesh is common for concrete reinforcement.
Could also look at expanded metal, that can be had in non-galvanized versions.

Try McMaster-Carr (McMaster-Carr). Do a search on the site for "hardware cloth", then click on "steel". Not sure which you wanted, but they seem to have it in both steel and stainless steel.
If you are looking for something to use as the cooking surface, then expanded metal works very well. I have built several pig cookers, and that is what I always use. Be sure to get the "flattened" configuration for a cooking surface, so that you don't have a problem with sticking.

expanded metal is at Tractor Supply on the aisle end cap over by the welding and hand tools. Or Lowe's around the hardware department. Mesh for concrete is going to be 6" x 6" so that may be too big for what you're using it for. If you cant find it, look on ebay or metalsdepot.com

I buy a lot of fencing, especially when it comes to panels, from them. Usually anything between a 1 x 1 inch mesh or a 4 x 4 inch mesh I go with them as my source.
