Where can I get power unit for a "leaf vacuum"?

I have a 4' x 8' trailer that I liked to adapt into leaf vacuum trailer that I tow behind my riding mower.
(the type where the mower deck blows the leaves through a tube to a motorized impellor that sucks/blows the leaves to the cart)

I see it's easy to find the tubing and the attachment to the mower decks, but does anybody know where can I find the motorized vacuum/blower unit that I could mount on the tongue of my trailer?

I think you could buy it as replacement parts from any of the yard vac manufacturers. However, it seems to me you would be better off just buying a used unit and fixing whatever it needs. Around here there are usually used ones on CraigsList for 25% to 50% of the new price.

I did the same thing a few years back with a yardman chipper shredder. Worked really well. Where are you located? I sold the tractor but still have the chipper. Haven't used it for years.

Here in Holland they collect the plastic beer glass from the tractorpulling or autocross field with an old hay blower - used in the 50s and 60s to blow hay onto the attics of old farm houses - sucking all plastic up and blowing it into an old burlap feedbag. Works perfect, all redneck events in the province adopted this method.
