Where do I find spring latches like this?

Just insert a descriptive word or two between the {url=http://whatever}<font color="red">Enter words here</font>{/url} instead of the entire URL. Replace parentheses with brackets in previous example.
You will have to add the spring yourself, it looks like.

Awesome! Way to go guys! I searched with Altavista without much luck... never use Google but I noticed a lot of guys here do; I'll have to try it...
McMaster - Well of course I thought of them! Everything I found didn't have the springs though but I never even saw the page linked here. The problem with McMaster is they have SO many things, you almost have to have the exact terminology they use to find anything.

When the new printed catalog arrives, I usually spend a couple of hours just going through it, page by page.
If you want confusing, you should see the catalog that the University's Central Stores uses. Glass is grouped with Paint, but plexiglass is Hardware, Bolts are Machine Screws, Drywall Screws are grouped with the Metal Studs , I can't remember where Tapcon screws are, but I know they are not with the rest of the anchors.....It makes sense, IF you know where to look.

- What does the last senctence refer to? I don't see any parentheses only brackets
Has a FAQ tab been considered where topics like this could be explained in detail with examples? others might be attaching photos, searching for topics, and saving favorite threads.

They really are simple and fun to make. The attached pic is one I made for my trailer. I used a 1/2" anchor bolt, clamped it in a vice then heated the bend area red hot and made a simple 90 degree bend. Next I cut to length, drilled the holes and added a spring.
The big advantage of making it yourself is you get exactly whats needed for the intended purpose, and like I say its fun! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
