Where does #1 oil Filter go on a 5211

I noticed, too late to spot the difference, the filter stacks are numbered, WHOOPS.

Does the filter assembly numbered 1 go on the right or the left side, left being the starter side right being the radiator side.....

No answers yet? I'm not familiar with your tractor and I'm only assuming you are referring to the fuel filters. If you have found your answer already maybe you can enlighten all of us. If you haven't gotten your answer yet, maybe you can add more information, like filter #1 says 25 micron and filter #2 (assumed) says 5 micron.

Hi Zork,
I was asking about the oil filters, located on the right side of the engine. They are stacks of little doughnuts of a fine wire mesh. They are numbered, all of them in one housing are stamped with a "1" the second filter stack is numbered "2".

When I removed them I was unaware there was a difference in the stacks, it is impossible to see the numbers while the stacks are covered with dirty oil. Upon soaking in diesel I spotted the numbers and did not know which stack went where.

I finally called a Zetor dealer and he said the #1 stack goes to the front of the engine and the #2 stack goes closest to the starter.

These are good solid basic tractors that are built like tanks. Once you figure out how to work on them they are a breeze.

Just brought 16145. Filters are pretty interesting. Made in an old czech tank factory after the end of the cold war. Looks like a bomb went off in the cab. Looking for advice and cab parts for a Zetor 16145 tractor. Parts manual is a bit hard to follow. Several variations in the cab area.
