been having this problem since i bought this tractor new in 05. it s a TN70DA. the hyd oil can be at the right level today and tomorrow be over full. use it a few days and it may be right or it might be low. just up and down. i have put in as much as 2 gallons when i cant find any oil on the oil stick. brings it to the full mark. use it that day and check it the next day and it can be way over the full mark. use it a few more days it might be way low or it might be at the full mark. always up and down. changed the engine oil yesterday. try to change engine oil every 150 hours along with the oil filter and the hyd oil filter also. first time i changed the hyd oil filter back in 05 not much oil came out. all the times since then seems like i loose half gallon or so before i can get the new filter screwed back on. yesterday when i changed the filter hardly any came out. checked the stick and it was dry. kept adding oil until i had 2 and a half gallons put in. stick showed full. used it some that evening and this morning when i checked it was way over full again. anybody ever had anything like this before?

One thought. What attachments do you have that use the hydraulics? Attachment position when checking the oil can make a difference, but I would not expect a 2 1/2 gal difference.

The operators manual for my backhoe states to have loader on the ground and backhoe in transport position when checking the hydraulic oil level.
