Where does this hose go?

On my truck, not tractor. 2016 F-350 DRW. Attached to rear axle, appears to be a vent. There’s a clip that looks like it should attach somewhere, and a fitting on the end. Anyone?

Usually they're fastened to the body above where it would suck in water if the diff gets submerged, looks like your's goes into a filter possibly to prevent dust being drawn in? I'm thinking that clip goes on a lip of a seam somewhere.............Mike

Usually up high somewhere. It’s probably not critical that it be anywhere exact.

Clip attaches to frame. Be sure hose and axle vent are clear. It prevents pressure from blowing pinion and axle seals as axle heats up or cools down.
