I believe the engine is their own design, but not sure where it or the rest of the tractor is built.
where is the 3550 made

The engine and tractor are made in India. It is palatalized and shipped to the USA. Then the stuff from the USA are added in one of the assembly plants. Those are [ if my memory is correct ].... Kalifornia, Texas, Chattanooga, and a new one in the east. Michigan seat, Titan tires and rims, Kansas Machine Works loader, etc...... I had mine [ 3550 ] out yesterday spreading two big loads of Afton stone behind my barn....

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware that the seats came from Michigan Seat which are carried retail by Northern Tool. If you have a seat that needs upgrading or replacing that may be the way to go but I'd settle for decent seat covers that fit.
