Where is the neutral safety switch on a 1983 Ford 555 base model backhoe?

Where is the neutral safety switch on a 1983 Ford 555 base-model backhoe? She ran fine, parked yesterday. Today she wont start - like it is in gear.
I suspect a broken/loose wire or bad/dirty switch? I checked all over from underneath and couldn't locate. I presume I must pull the floor mat and maintenance covers but don't know where to look. I recently moved and of course cannot locate my parts manuals nor find references online. :-(

My Branson has it on the clutch linkage. I have to push in the clutch to start.

Open this link to New Holland Construction, and look at the exploded view. Part #53, which has a good space between the numbers like 5 3, with an arrow pointing to the switch, back through the number 3. Just ahead of the dual shifters.
