Deal and regional Rep tell me that the service manual isn't ready yet so I'm on my own. After various mishaps and unkept promises from the dealer I'm simply not going to let them touch anything unless I have no choice. I have wrench and know how to use it.

8 hours and the parking brake needs to be jiggled to shut up before I can drive. Anyone know where the adjustment is?

If you just pull up on the brake handle it is supposed to click about 3 times. If so, the cable is adjusted correctly. To release, push the button in and lower the handle all the way, the parking light should go out. If that doesn't work then you have to remove the parking brake cover to get at the switch. It's under the cover toward the front. You'd have to remove the cover to adjust the brake cable as well if needed. By the way, the service manual is available. I have one. I was told I can't get a parts manual.

Where might a person get the service manual? I really feel a 30 grand tractor should have come with one.

I don't want to bash these guys but ****, they just really dropped the ball in so many ways on this deal, all told I spent almost 40 grand for TBH, trailer, cutter, box blade, and tiller. In our verbal and email dealings I was pretty specific about what I wanted. After not being able to give a delivery date for 10 days, 4 hours after I call and email to cancel the order, they come up with a date. The regional guy did drive up to meet me at delivery and admit he was the one that dropped the ball on that, I respect that, but again, how in the heck do you forget a $30,000 order?

I specified 4 transport grade 70 chains and ratchet load binders, they hand me BS 2in ratchet straps. I called them on it so they go down to the CoOp and bring back this 1/4" dog chain and 2200 lb lever binders.....

They did deliver free 60 miles from the store, but today I remove the BH to hook up the box blade to find I have no top link pins for any of the implements....

Parking brake warning isn't properly adjusted...A few other things I guess are nit picking. Low hydro fluid, one of the rear work lights burned out

I'm not the most tactful person.... I'm calling in the morning and going to try to talk to the guy... I know it is only $500 or so for legal chains and binders but I feel like I should stop payment on the check and hold it hostage till they come through.

Maybe I'm over reacting but with everything added up I'm pretty disappointed.

And you should be really disappointed! 40 G's and they can't come across with a decent chain and binders? I don't think the tractor was 'pre-serviced' like it should have been.

To get a service manual your dealer has to order it for you. Mine costs $100 plus shipping and handling. When it came in I had to make a 90 mile round trip to get it. You could have specified to the dealer to provide the service manual as part of you buying the tractor but either way you'd pay. I don't plan on taking my tractor back to the dealer unless it's a warranty issue. As long as I keep my own service records and perform the service maintenance guidelines described in the owners manual any warranty will be covered.

If grade 70 chain and binders was part of the sale then they owe it to you. Don't let it drop, keep after them. Same with the top link pins. After I did an inspection on my tractor I don't think my dealer did a proper pre inspection either. There were minor things I had to fix or correct.

Well, I didn't get chains and binders but I did get $300.00 cash, a Fred Cain subsoiler, a Fred Cain middle buster, and a dozen extra pins.

I know this is a little older thread but mine did the same thing. I had to take a long bolt and bend the tab down on the brake handle. It wasn't making full contact with the switch. Mine would come on all the time while I was working. I would have to push down hard on the brake lever and even then if I hit a hard bump it would come back on. So I bent the tab...fixed er right up.

I solved it by stepping on the brake at the same time I pulled the Parking brake. Now when I release the P brake, it releases clean and doesn't beep any more.

Now onto figuring out how to make the parking brake actually brake the tractor. I live in hills, I want it to hold the tractor without having to bury the FEl or 3pt implement to hold it in place.

I have found that the parking brake is lacking also. I have to really stand on the service brake and then pull the parking brake to get a solid lock on them otherwise they tend to slip.

I know this is an old post but I an having the same problem with the parking brake switch. I tried bending the tab but it still wont shut off the parking brake warning light and at low RPMs the tractor stalls when trying to move it thinking the brake is still on. Even with the cover off and manipulating the switch all the way down with my finger doesn’t solve the problem. I see a loose red wire but don’t se where it might of went. Any ideas?
