I need new front wheels for my Ford 1920 4WD. Went to a New Holland dealership and they wanted $346 per bare rim for the standard farm 8-16 version. Does anyone have any better sources?

Thanks for looking.

If you don't mine using aftermarket parts you might try a google search for SSB tractor parts.

Product ID: FTFWR2Z $120

I just bought two rims and two tires w/tubes off Ebay for my 3910. The rims appear to be well made and heavy. The rims were $101 for both including shipping. Of course those are 5.50 x 16 and pretty common. The tires were $170 for 6.50 x 16 including shipping.

Those Japanese Fords use a unique bolt pattern but I think the 2110, 1900, 1910, 1920, etc are the same. I'll bet there are used wheels in tractor boneyards in addition to the new ones mentioned earlier. New from a dealer is not necessary. You just have to search around.

Thanks for the help. Turns out that I could get the holes welded up using a piece of metal as a patch. Great suggestions though. I'll pursue those options because I'd rather have new wheels.

I found a pair that is supposed to fit my MF on ebay. Haven't ordered though.

Do you happen to have a link for those wheels you purchased? I'm still not having any luck finding wheels other than from a dealer. $600 is just too much for 2 wheels in my opinion.

Call Unverferth Company in Ohio. They have made wheels for me in the past and even did a couple of odd combinations. They will tell you what it will cost and they do first class work.

Earlier I mentioned that I thought similar Japanese Fords used a common bolt pattern. Yanmar, Kubota and Deere may have as well but not sure on that. I see junk Fords like this at auction so they must go somewhere. There are a number of tractor boneyards in the upper Midwest that I feel confident have what you want. There are others in Texas as well and Abilene Machinery comes to mind. Search and I think you will find.

EDIT--I don't think you will find new wheels except from a dealer--that's why they are $350. If you check your bolt pattern, it's possible Deere and Yanmar or perhaps other Japanese makers are the same. Maybe-maybe not. I'll bet Shibaura (sp) will fit as well and I know many wheels are likely in junkyards because I have seen them advertised. I have bought and built lots of wheels over the years and your situation is one you can remedy.
