Why use pine, it's just going to rot.

Use PVC plastic lumber.

Some manufacturers have less expensive carriage house doors.

Ok great info. I just called my supplier and he thinks they can make a commercial door (cause it's 10' or taller) to the look of the 900 series which is their carriage door style. Waiting for a call back now and hope it doesn't break the bank. Went online and they look great.

Yeah that's right, 10' is going to be commercial. So you do get dinged a little for that.

Haas makes a good door. They are made near here.

A friend of mine runs a large retail door company, and is a distributor. He prefers Haas to anything else they sell right now.
