I put turfs on my B7610 this year, and am VERY happy with their performance in snow vs. the R4's. I haven't had to put the chains on yet this winter. The R4's were useless.
Anyway, I got the turfs (already mounted on Kubota wheels) used, and the fronts are only 4 ply. I had my first need to move something heavy (700 lbs or so) with the forks on the FEL this weekend, and at the rated 22 PSI, the tires went almost flat under the load. Needless to say, I didn't try to move the load for fear of rolling the tires off the wheels. I put 'em up to 28 PSI, and VERY slowly moved the load where I needed it. My fork can go on the 3PH as well, which is how I normally move heavy loads, but this was a pallet that I needed to get off the back of my F350, and the 3PH doesn't go nearly high enough.
So, I'd like to just replace these with 6 or 8 ply turfs, so I don't need to change over to the R4's every time I want to use the FEL for something heavy.
Where is a good place to get them?
As luck would have it, the rear tires on my 4WS G1800-S are the same size (as the fronts on the B7610), and it needs tires, so the like-new 4-plys will get a good home there.
Thanks in advanced for you help,
Jay
