Hello everyone!

OK, so I purchased the summit hydraulics 3rd function kit for my 90's new to me Kubota L4200 with LA680 loader. Very nice kit by the way.

Question is: Where do I mount it? Everything I can find an actual photo of is on a newer Kubota with different loader control valve. Does anyone have a photo of a 3rd function valve mounted near loader like mine?

Thanks!

Is it an electric valve that you are gonna put a button on the joystick? OR is it a manual valve.

If manual you have to worry about the lever being in a ergonomic spot

IF its an electric 3rd.....mount it wherever the hoses will reach and its out of the way. It really doesnt matter where it is mounted....only important things are where the button is and to make sure its plumbed right

Thank you for the reply. Yes it is the summit electric valve with the button controller that mounts to theJoystick. However, I am very visual and due to the lack of really good mounting places without welding I was just hoping for some photos of it in a safe place. My thought is I will have to weld to the inside of the main loader frame where it's tucked away on the mounting plate just was looking for some photos to reference

What LD1 said plus make sure where you mount it is out of harms way and not an obstruction. I see a plate with two holes. Maybe use those holes to mount an extension plate or "L" bracket to mount the new valve ??

You don't have to weld if you can drill holes and tap (preferred on the loader frame)

OR even make a L shaped bracket and back out two of those loader mount bolts in that brace....bolt on a new bracket.

Everyone's method of mounting is different, because everyone's capabilities and material supply is different. There is no "wrong" way to do it if it is functional.

This is probably too late to be helpful, But what I've done is to design a system using a four valve stack mounted in the original location. The fourth valve is for the top link cylinder. I may add rear remotes at some point, but I don't really need them at this point.
I'll be using the Magister 21 GPM stack 3600psi max.
I chose to replace the stack because the valves are getting sloppy and precise control of the loader functions is difficult, especially when trying to aim at a pallet with the forks on.
Just my .0178 cents in this economy.
