JD 2940
I have a JD 2940 and I took off the draft link to change it. Took off the bushing and the spring that holds it on. What I didnt know is that the hydraulic fluid is in there. now, my hydraulic fluid is drained out on the pto side.

I'm not sure where to fill it back up after I change out the draft link...and I am not sure if I need to do additional steps to ensure the hydraulic function.

Please help...

The dipstick should be behind your left heel as you sit on the tractor, it is threaded in the tube. Fill cap is at the rear of the tractor above the top link mount. About a 2" diameter cap with a scalloped perimeter. This cap is also threaded. One fill point for the transmission, rear axles and hydraulics.
