Where\'s the passenger seat?

As I mentioned in another post (with no answers) my wife wants to know how WE can traverse our trails on the PT. I don't see any way to mount a second seat on the unit. I mentioned bolting a kitchen chair to a pallet and lifting it with forks and giving her a ride she wouldn't soon forget. Another option that comes to my mind is buying a cheep pull trailer from Home Depot or Lowes and putting a chair in it.

What do you all do?

I have taken the kids on a hay ride in our little cart behind our lawn tractor. But our PT425 has the exhaust pointing straight back, so that is no fun for them.

Let's face it, the PT is a solo unit. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

My understanding is that the 422 has the exhaust out the side? Of course, I also understand that specifications on these machines can change for each assembly run?

This remided me of a bunch of pictures someone emailed me. They looked like they were taken in Russia or that area anyway. One of them was a guy driving a tractor pulling a cart and the women were sitting in this caged cart likely a livestock cart. If I can find it I'll post it. Pretty funney looking.

I really can't see any safe way to add an extra seat. That said, you could purchase one of those tractor seats from Ebay for around $80.00, and attach it to the top of the forks with a pallet for foot rest. The one that I bought moves up and down on a spring. You could even put a bench seat on the forks, and ride more than one.

You could even let her drive, and you sit out front.

The negatives to this are, the one out front clears out the spider webs. The ride is a little rougher.
