OK,
Finally got a new house built in SC, near Charlotte NC for reference. I've got about 2 acres of planting to do. Here is my problem: It will be very hot soon there and it's also been dry. I don't want to live on a red clay dirt farm all summer waiting for cooler/ wetter weather before I plant some seed, but I can't water that much grass either. So, what should I plant?
I know certain grasses thrive in hot/dry weather but they turn solid brown in the winter so I'm not interested in that.
What I really need is a seed that stays green all year, and is somewhat heat and drought resistant.
thanks from the red clay universe.
