My back tells me it's time for a quick-hitch but which one? After scouring the web they all seem about the same (ASAE spec) other than drastic price difference. My local JD dealer wants $300, "Fleet" type store around $200 for Speeco, or there's Landpride, Woods, etc.
Any advice? JP.

I have the Land Pride Cat 1 QH and IMHO or maybe not so humble opinion it is the best one out there. The top link hook is adjustable up and down (4 or 5 positions) and it waaaaaaay over built! It cost me $300 and I would pay it again in a heartbeat! Good Luck and enjoy the hunt! :p

JP,
TSC has a cat 1 Speedco which is made in Colorado buy a company I can't think of right now. I have one and the price was $224.00 and it has an adjustable top hook and is built like a tank. I compared it to the Land Pride's QH and the only difference I could see was the color and $$$$. Speedco= yellow, $224.00. Land Pride--black, $350.00. Now which one would you buy?

I bought a Cat II Speedco hitch 2 weeks ago and have tortured it with several hours of heavy box blading and it has held up well so far. I also have done several implement changes with no issues. It costed $259 at Rural King

might be cheper to spray paint some marks onthe ground so you canback up straight and not have to stran to hook things up.. hookup the fixed arm first.. then use the adjustable arm to amke the second connection.. then adjust the 3rd link...

if you lined up right.. all you are lifting is the individual lift arms and sliding them on pins and then dropping lynch pins in.... then turning a hand crank or turnbuckle for the other 2 links to make adjustments..

I went to our Atwoods (farm supply store) and got to see the SpeeCo version....not even close to the quality of the Land Pride. With that beeing said, it did look like it would be ok. It's your money....:p

My tractor is not as big as it thinks it is and when I looked for something to make it easier to hook up the TPH, two considerations, weight and being able to use implements with different pin spacing, led me to the Pats Easy Change. Since I went with Pats, I've also learned that there is a problem for some with the I Match type hitches being able to see the pins when they back up to the implement. Don't know if that is a real problem, but it's one more reason I'm glad I got what I did. I just read that Pat also offers a 30 day money back guarantee, but I don't think you'll send it back. I've already forgotten the money that they cost, but every time I use them, I'm glad I spent the money.
