My third function quite working on my B2650 this spring. Feeling that it must be in the one of the 3rd function solenoid valves, I priced a new valve assembly. Wow, knocked me off my chair. Over $1300.00 while a new full kit was just over $700.00. Guess which way I went.
So I now have a new kit and since it is very easy to change the assembly out I proceed after supper. Hopefully I will be using the grapple tomorrow.
NOPE
Now I dig deeper into the system. Having installed one earlier on a B2601, I kind of knew what I was getting into. When I moved up from the B2601 to the bigger B2650 (Yup, Always buy a size bigger that you think you need.:laughing
, I decided to have the dealer install the kit as well as the rear remotes before delivery.
All went well over the first year but after the winter, no 3rd function. I pulled it apart and found the it was simply one of the 3 wire connectors that had pulled apart. The wiring was zip tied all along it's track as it should be, but it was tied close together on both sides of the connection as well as at the base of the loader lever. Normally this should not be a problem but here in the northeast where it gets very cold in winter, everything contracts.
I am guessing that when moving the loader lever when everything was -10 to -20 last winter pulled one side apart. Easy fix. plug it back together and only zip tie the side after the lever.
However I am left with an extra complete Kubota B7308A 3rd function kit. I am wondering if it also would fit the B2601 and the new LX2610 with the standard loader, not the quick attach loader.
Anybody have an idea?
Thank
