Did you look at a King Kutter RFM-72? It's made in America too... so that's a plus. You might check it out.
This is a picture of a 5' model, but the 6' model looks the same, just wider.
I had a KK that I bought new in 2005 but have since sold to go to a zero turn. It appears that the hitch is greatly improved on the model you picture.
Instead of the 2 solid links that attach to the rear of the mower, mine had a piece of chain. Never liked that setup much but the mower cut well enough.
I never could get over the "striping" issue with a RFM. The tractor tires compacted the grass and then it would spring up after the mower passed over. Overlapping the cut didn't seem to help out.
